Why Our Honey is Different
“We don’t blend honey from multiple regions or subject it to unnecessary processing.
The flowers, trees and seasons that our bees forage from give each honey its own character, which is why the pollen collected by our bees remains part of the honey itself.”

What Our Customers Say
FAQ
Does local honey actually help with hay fever?
Honest answer: the scientific evidence is mixed. What we know is that our honeys are raw, coarsely filtered, and contain genuine bio-regional pollen from the same East and West Lothian landscape you live in. The traditional practice of consuming local raw honey during spring is thousands of years old. We're not making medical claims — we're making very good honey, grown from the same air you breathe. When should I start?
Ideally 6–8 weeks before your typical symptoms begin. For most people in Scotland that means starting in February or early March. A teaspoon a day, consistently, is more effective than irregular large amounts.
What's the difference between the Spring Set and the Blossom?
Primarily timing and texture. The Spring Set (East Lothian, April–June) is a soft-set, creamy honey high in early-season pollen from hawthorn, wild cherry, and sycamore. The Blossom (Jupiter Artland, West Lothian, June–August) is a clear liquid honey with a mid-summer pollen profile of clover, lime blossom, and bramble. Together they cover the full Scottish pollen season.
Is the honey raw? What does that mean?
It means we never heat our honey above the natural temperature inside the hive (around 35–40°C). Supermarket honey is typically flash-heated to over 70°C to extend shelf life and make it flow. That process destroys enzymes, kills pollen, and removes the very properties that make raw honey interesting. Ours maintains everything the bees put in.
What are the infusions made from?
Each infusion starts with our Soft Spring Set Honey as the base, then we add only natural ingredients — no artificial flavours, extracts, or additives. When you see Lemon & Ginger, that means freeze-dried lemon powder and real ginger. What goes in is exactly what it says on the label, nothing more.

Can I mix and match the three jars freely?
Yes, completely. Any three jars from the range. Our most popular combination for hay fever is Spring Set + Blossom + Turmeric, but there's no wrong answer. If you're buying as a gift, the Spring Set + Lemon & Ginger + Hot Toddy is a beautiful trio.
